Bickershaw Specimen Lake (Higher Hall Flash)

Bickershaw Specimen Lake covers approximately 10 acres with angling from specified swims only. Carp grow to in excess of 20lbs and the bream reach double figures. This water is recommended for specialist carp anglers. Rules exist for carp welfare and members are  requested to read and follow the rules in the membership cards.  Day tickets are not available for this water

Bickershaw Pool (Higher Hall Flash – smaller water)

Bickershaw pool is a general fishery with roach, rudd, bream, tench. The water holds some very good roach and the tench grow to approximately 5lbs.

Pennington Flash

A specimen water with large bream, pike, perch, roach, tench and carp. Access is not easy.See maps on the site.

Fir Tree Flash

Recently leased by the Association. The water holds roach, perch, pike, carp, bream and tench. Tench fishing can be very good. The water is availabe for match fishing.

 The Association has recently taken over the water. A popular general fishery with carp and  a range of coarse fish,

Firs Park Lake

A general coarse fishery situated in a residential area. Part of the fishery is a nature reserve, please treat it as such. Species include roach, bream, perch, tench and carp. Matches are organised on Thursday during the warmer months. See the bailiff for details. The facilities on the water (e.g. shoreline, angling stations, etc) are currently being improved.


Canals in the Leigh area

For those who enjoy a day on the canal the Association leases the canal from the Plank Lane swing bridge (Slag Lane, Leigh to the bridge over the East Lancashire Road) approximately 2.5 mile stretch. The canal holds stocks of roach, perch, carp, bream, pike and tench.
