CORONAVIRUS COVID 19 UPDATE 5TH JANUARY, 2021

ALTHOUGH FISHING IS NOW ALLOWED PLEASE BE AWARE OF LOOKING AFTER YOUR HEALTH AND THE HEALTH OF OTHERS, PARTICULARLY RELATING TO  COVID19  USE   THE MINIMUM DISTANCE FROM OTHER ANGLERS, PARTICULARLY WHEN DRAWING FOR MATCH PEGS.

WILL MEMBERS ALSO NOTE THAT THEY SHOULD CONSIDER-  THE USE OF  HAVE HAND SANITIZERS, USE ONLY RECOGNIZED FISHING STATIONS, BAILIFFS WILL OFFER GUIDANCE ON HAND SANITIZERS WHEN REQUIRED TO DO SO. MEMBERS MUST NOT TOUCH ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO THEM. REMEMBER ALSO THAT LOCKS AND KEYS CAN CARRY INFECTION. BASIC DETAILS OF THE RISK ASSESSMENT ISSUES ARE SHOWN BELOW

BE AWARE OF NATIONAL GUIDELINES

 

ALTHOUGH MANY RULES HAVE NOW BEEN RELAXED PLEASE BE AWARE  THAT:-

  • COVID 19 CAN BE PASSED VERY EASILY FROM ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER, CONSEQUENTLY IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT WE FOLLOW THE MEASURES THAT THE GOVERNMENT HAVE ESTABLISHED TO ASSIST IN THEIR CONTROL OF INFECTION. THE ANGLING TRUST HAS ALSO PROVIDED GUIDANCE FOR ANGLING ASSOCIATIONS; THIS GUIDANCE HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN OUR RISK ASSESSMENT.
  • PRIMARILY ANYONE VISITING THE WATER SHOULD CONFORM TO THE GUIDELINES ON TRANSPORT AND TRAVEL.
  • SOCIAL DISTANCING IS RECOMMENDED APPLY. I.E.  2 METRES AT THE VERY MINIMUM, REMEMBER THAT THIS IS ALSO THE CASE AT ENTRY POINTS AND GATES, GIVE PASSING PEOPLE SPACE TO PASS EASILY WITHOUT BECOMING CLOSER THAN THE 2 METRE MINIMUM SPACE
  •  ANGLING ON ALTERNATE ANGLING STATIONS SHOULD BE USED (I.E. PROVIDING 20 METRE GAPS)
  • HAND WASHING IS RECOMMENDED USING AN ACCEPTABLE HANDGELL
  • ANGLERS WHO ARE MEDICALLY VULNERABLE SHOULD NOT USE THE WATERS – PARTICULARLY REMOTE FISHERY SITES
  • SIGNS AND WEB SITES WILL ENSURE THAT MEMBERS ARE AWARE OF ALL RULES
  • MEMBERS MUST BE AWARE OF THE RULES
  • ANGLING TACKLE MUST NOT BE PASSED TO OTHER ANGLERS
  • DISPOSABLE GLOVES AND FACEMASKS MAY BE HELPFUL
  • IF YOU SHOW SYMPTOMS WHILST AT THE WATERSIDE LEAVE IMMEDIATELY AND CONTACT THE CHAIRPERSON AND YOUR  GP ASAP

 

PLEASE CHECK THE RULES OF WHERE YOU CAN AND CANNOT FISH.   PLEASE RESPECT OTHER USERS OF THE WATERS WHO MAY WISH TO HAVE MORE THAN THE MINIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN OTHER MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC OR OTHER ANGLERS.

Remember that locks and gates can hold the virus. Use a hand gel whenever possible, or wash your hands thoroughly if hand gel is not available.
